Ansonia “Pop Shortell” Gridiron Club

The Ansonia “Pop Shortell” Gridiron Club is conducting its annual membership drive. Under the new leadership of Coach Tom Brockett, and with the return of many talented players, the coaches and players are looking forward to the 2010 season.

All monies collected go to the football program for the ‘little things’ which contribute to an excellent program. Awards at graduation, passing camp, strength and conditioning camp, and weightlifting equipment are just a few areas where the money is spent.

A parents’ group helps out by selling items (hats, t-shirts, decals, etc.) at home games. Their profit is spent compiling scrapbooks for each senior and for providing food for the football players after games.
